At the start of each academic year, we spend two weeks on a local project. All classes learn about the history of our school, its position within the community and places of significance within the local area. As part of the project, children understand where our logo comes from with some classes walking to the fort.
We spend time exploring how our community has changed since our school was built and focus on what it means to be a child or adult at the school today. Children are given the opportunity to understand what it means to be a member of our school, working with our ethos, values and learning powers.
We are interested in listening to and learning from members of our community, including those who may be alumni of the school. If you would like to get in touch with us to share your memories and even some photographs, please email memories@rodborough.gloucs.sch.uk The children would love to hear from you and it will help to bring their learning to life!
