Good communication with parents is vital as we work together for the best interests of the children. School operates an open door policy and staff welcome opportunities to speak with parents face to face. The teachers are outside at the start and end of the day for a quick catch up, but if you require a little longer, please contact the office by phone on 01453 763159 or via email at admin@rodborough.gloucs.sch.uk to arrange an appointment with your child's class teacher. If you would like to send written information to your child's class teacher, please email admin@rodborough.gloucs.sch.uk and mark your email FAO and then the class teacher's name. Staff endeavour to reply to emails within 24 school hours wherever possible. If you would like to arrange a phone call or face to face meeting with the Head or Deputy, please contact the school office.
The Head, Deputy and Chair of Governors hold two informal drop in sessions across the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms. This is a good opportunity to come and chat over tea and biscuits! Dates are shared with familes in the newsletters and/or via ParentMail.
ParentMail is used to share school information. This is often in the form of letters or notes, but also includes forms to complete for trips, sporting events, consent forms, booking Parents' Evening slots and school run after school clubs. When you join our school, you will be sent information on how to download the App and create an account. This is our primary form of communication with our families.
We use Class Dojo to share classroom learning, events and wider experiences across the school with parents. When you join our school, you will be sent information and a link to join Class Dojo, accessed through the free version of the App. Please be aware that we do not use the messaging function and so parents cannot communicate with us through the App.
In school, Class Dojo is used as a visual tool to celebrate positive behaviour choices linked to our values and learning powers.
