Clubs

It is extremely important to us that we are able to offer a range of clubs to as many children across the whole year as possible. To this end, we invite children to sign up, one term at a time, via a form on Parent Mail, to a club which interests them. Examples of clubs include: football, Forest School, chess, craft, gardening and construction.

Peripatetic Music

We ae fortunate to have external specialist teachers who come into school to teach: guitar, drums and piano. If you would like your child to have lessons in another musical instrument, we will be happy to explore the possibility with Gloucestershire Music.

Trips

Each class has at least three trips a year, one of which has no cost. Staff use trips to engage children in their learning as well as to extend their experiences. Examples of trips are: walking to Rodborough Fort, Greystones, Corinium Museum, We the Curious, Bristol Aquarium, Young Voices and Chedworth.

Sporting Events

Children in Key Stages 1 and 2 take part in a wide variety of additional sporting events run by Atlas. Some events are competitive, whilst others focus on participation sport and increased physical activity. Examples of sporting events are: Cross country, netball, new age kurling, football, tag rugby, swimming, hockey and athletics.

Residential trips

Year 6 have residential to Manor Adeventure, which takes place Monday to Friday. In 2025, it will be the first year that we are going to do a one night residential for Year 4 children, staying at Go Bananas.

Visitors

We are continually seeking to invite a variety of people or companies into school. This is an area that we are wanting to develop and so if you think you could offer something for our children, please get in touch with the school office. So far this year we have had the 'Stay Safe' initiative in as part of Anti-bullying week.
