Rodborough Community Primary School

Music

At our school, music is at the heart of a rich and inspiring curriculum, bringing learning to life for every child. We are incredibly proud to hold the Music Mark Silver Award for Gloucestershire, recognising our commitment to high-quality music education for all.

Following the UK National Curriculum, our music provision is carefully designed to develop confidence, creativity and a lifelong love of music. From the moment children join us, they are immersed in exciting opportunities to sing, play instruments, compose and perform. Lessons are engaging and inclusive, ensuring that every child can succeed and feel proud of their achievements.

Beyond the classroom, pupils take part in performances, celebrations and collaborative projects that build teamwork and resilience. We also provide opportunities to learn instruments and experience a wide range of musical styles and cultures.

Our approach nurtures not only musical skills, but also supports our school values such as independence, perseverance and problem solving. Parents can be confident that their children are receiving a vibrant, well-rounded education where music plays a vital role in enriching their school experience and helping them learn together, share together and achieve together to be the best we can be.
