Rodborough Community Primary School

Computing

At Rodborough Community Primary School, our computing curriculum inspires children to become confident, creative and responsible digital citizens. Using the engaging Purple Mash platform, pupils explore a rich range of experiences - from creating animated stories and coding simple programs in Key Stage 1, to designing games, building databases and understanding networks in Key Stage 2.

We carefully build knowledge and skills year by year, ensuring children develop strong foundations in algorithms, logical thinking and problem-solving, while also learning how technology shapes the world around them. Online safety is at the heart of everything we do, empowering pupils to use technology respectfully and responsibly. Through exciting, hands-on lessons, children learn to create, collaborate and express themselves digitally - whether presenting ideas, producing music, or exploring data. Our aim is for every child to leave Rodborough as a curious, capable and confident user of technology, ready for the opportunities of the future.
